Description

Role & Responsibilities:

• Architecture and design of information systems
• Review of the architecture of existing systems
• Design and development of components and building blocks
• Maintenance and bug fixing on IT systems and components
• Analysis of the integration of different information systems
• Implementation of the technical architecture
• Data analysis and modelling
• Apply security rules, standards and guidelines
• Production of technical and architecture documentation
• Assist with deployment and configuration of the system
• Assist with the training of the users
• Apply RUP methodology and best practices
• Assistance during relevant parts of testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation and reporting

Qualifications: 

• Master’s degree
• At least 11 years of professional experience
• Mandatory skills:
• In depth knowledge of SQL and RDBMS, especially ORACLE
• In depth knowledge of Java (minimum 7 years)
• Good knowledge of the design and development of web and multi-tier internet applications
• Good knowledge of the JavaScript frameworks, such as AngularJS
• Good knowledge of software development methodologies: RUP, Agile
• Good knowledge of modelling tools (e.g. UML)
• Good knowledge of HTML/XHTML, XML, XSLT, CSS
• Good knowledge of the Spring framework, including Spring Security
• Good knowledge of Build automation tool (such as Maven) and version control tool (such as Git)
• Knowledge of object-relational mapping tool, such as Hibernate
• Knowledge and practice of interoperability technologies, especially Web Services (REST, JSON), message-oriented middleware (such as ActivMQ), service bus
• Knowledge of the existing IT Security frameworks for the development and maintenance of applications
• Optional skills:
• Knowledge of the development of Document Management Systems
• Knowledge of the development of Case Management Systems
• Knowledge of workflow engine, such as Activiti
• Language: English. Knowledge of French is considered an asset.
