Contribute, in cooperation with the Operation Department and other relevant teams at agency, to the design and management of research initiatives, as well as pilot projects, proofs of concept and development of prototypes in order to integrate research findings or new technologies/approaches into the operational management of large IT-scale systems operated by the agency;
Provide senior consultancy support and conduct studies on technical and strategic matters pertaining to the systems managed by the Agency;
Support the R&D team in implementing the annual activities and its strategic roadmap, including improving communication of the research results to various audiences;
Liaising with the Operation Department and other relevant teams;
Perform any other tasks assigned by the Head of Unit.
Provide senior consultancy support and conduct studies on technical, as well as strategic issues, regarding information systems and IT processes
Provide tactical as well as strategic direction setting
Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of relevant education (master or equivalent) after the secondary School
At least 9 years’ experience in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) including 6 years in consultancy among which 3 years in relevant requested domain(s) (e.g. consultancy in governance and management, hardware and software, telecommunication, information systems, service oriented architectures, etc.)
Knowledge and professional experience in setting up and managing research projects in the fields relevant to the mandate of agency (e.g. data quality, biometrics, interoperability of large scale systems, cloud oriented applications, artificial intelligence, machine learning), pilot projects, proofs of concept and prototypes;
Knowledge and professional experience in data base technologies, monitoring of critical large scale system infrastructures, technology and innovation savvy;
Ability to provide strategic support and guidance with regards to new technology related to IT infrastructures (hardware and software) and the enablement of major business processes through IT enhancements;
Business continuity management processes including Business Impact Analysis (BIA), risk assessment, Business Continuity Planning (BCP), business continuity testing, exercising and testing
Business continuity and disaster recovery planning techniques and technologies
Certified or Member-grade of membership of the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) or equivalent
BSI ISO22301 Lead Auditor Qualification
Professional experience in working with different groups of stakeholders at various levels and across different functions, including senior management levels, preferably in a multicultural environment;
Proven track record of academic and/or professional research publications will be considered an advantage;
