Description

• management and administration of cloud-based infrastructure (e.g. application and development servers) on the Microsoft Azure Cloud;
• technology watch regarding other cloud providers;
• application of security standards and best practices, e.g. by applying the recommendations of the Azure security dashboard;
• collaboration with DIGIT SOC
• review of the current information system’s infrastructure and advice and implementation for its future development;
• granting and removing developer accesses to the various environments;
• patching and maintaining the OS (Centos 7.7 currently) in close coordination with the machine translation engine team;
• analysis of IS performance;
• installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the machine translation system and other language services to be offered.

Qualifications

• Master + 13 years of professional experience · 
• deep knowledge of administering and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure (including Microsoft Azure specifically) is required 
• knowledge of administering Linux environments, (CentOS or Redhat preferred);
• knowledge of application servers;
• knowledge of procedures related to deployment of information systems;
• good knowledge of software release management;
• knowledge of building and deployment tools (e.g. Ansible);
• ability to work in a structured way and to communicate with users, other developers and support      staff;
• ability to write clear and structured technical documents;
• very good communication skills;
• strong analytical skills; 
• knowledge of the Commission’s IT environment would be an asset
