Provision of expert advice and assistance, technology watch, evaluation studies, architectural considerations, applicable standards, solution patterns and best practices in relation to the web GIS based platform under development (DRMKC Risk Data Hub)
Elaboration of vision documents focused upon infrastructure components
Contribution to the design and construction of Geographical Information Systems
Data visualisation: preparing geographical aspects, improving database filtering including reverse query type functionality.
Writing of technical documentation
Assistance with deployment and configuration of the system
Assist with evaluating and testing products delivered by other teams to ensure that they conform to the requirements and methodology
Participation in meetings with the project teams.
Qualifications
Master's Degree and 3 years of professional experience in related field are required (after sudies)
Good knowledge of the design and development of web and multi-tier web applications
Good knowledge of GIS software and tools
Good knowledge of geospatial data analysis
Capability to write clear and structured technical documents.
Fluency in English
Experience working with industrial accident data & chemical accident risk is a plus
