Qualifications
Master's degree & 9 years of relevant professional experience (after studies)
Expert knowledge of GIS software (such as ArcGIS, GRASS-GIS, QGIS, at least 3 years)
Knowledge of underlying concepts and proven practical experience of developing and managing very large (continental coverage) datasets and relational database management systems (e.g. SQL, PostGIS)
Capacity for geospatial analysis (including processing of raster data and integration of diverse datasets)
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python or equivalents) and/or statistical programming environment (e.g. R, MATLAB, SPSS or equivalents) - knowledge of R is required
