You will be part of a dynamic team, based at the JRC campus in Ispra. JRC is one of the biggest science hubs in Europe, that hosting approximately 3.000 top researchers, engineers and senior scientists eager to resolve current and future challenges in the sector of energy, nuclear safety, food, health and more at EU level.
The person providing the services must be expert in a wide range of technologies and able to provide advice and assistance in the development of specific applications (web portals) and their databases, assistance in security assessments provided by the Unit's information systems, elaboration of technical analysis documents. Immediate subject of these activities will be:
Develop the i-bex platform (Online Platform for Interactive Behavioural Experiments) for running on-line interactive experiments based on the o-tree (PYTHON based) software. This activity includes the following tasks:
i) Development of the website (i-bex platform) which will embed o-tree software (and at a later stage be linked to Mechanical Turk and to PayPal) and will allow for online registration of new participants. Technical support for taking all necessary authorisations related to the platform.
ii) Basic training in o-tree software
iii) Technical support to the BI experts for designing interactive experiments in o-tree.
iv) Supervising the online experiments during the experimental periods.
Qualifications
Master's degree & minimum 9 years of professional experience after studies.
Strong Python Skills
Django (optional) & Docker (optional)
Hands on experience in Linux
Proven experience in PHP programming, knowledge of at least one framework like Laravel, Symfony, Zend or Slim to build webapp and API.
Experience in fronted development with Angular and AngularJS
Experience in database management and programming.
Proven ability to read, understand and adapt code written by others.
Capability to write clear and structured technical documents.
